From Jen Hubley, your About Today Editor
When I was in my early 20s, if a button fell off one of my shirts, I'd either wear it anyway or put it in a pile to be fixed later. Then I'd never fix it and eventually I'd throw it away. It was not the greenest time in my life.

How to Fix Your Clothes
Now, however, I am married, which means that eventually my husband will get sick of my clothing pile and sew buttons on for me. I'm hoping he never figures out my system.

How to Sew Your Own Clothes
If he does, I might actually have to learn to do this myself. Which would be unfair, really, because he likes making clothes. I'm just trying to support his hobby!

Free Dress Patterns
If you're learning to sew clothes, dresses are a great place to start. Not only are they easier to make than, say, pants, but you have a whole outfit when you're done.
